 For the European or Western people may doesn't see much cold noodle, and feel awkward I guess. but in Asian, there are many cold noodle in their country, such as Japan's soba, China's Szechuan, Taiwan's Liangmian, and else you can find by googling. For this time, it's Korean cold noodle, called Naengmyeon. It has kind of cold noodles for province, and their ingredients also different. even North Korea has cold noodle too but it's quiet expensive and different taste. I'm gonna post about North Korean noodle one day.

  This cold noodle has 2 types. One called Bibim Naengmyeon (비빔[Mixing] 냉면), that without soup but only chili sauce with garnishes, the other is  Mul Naengmyeong (물[Water] 냉면) that with soup. some restaurants put chili sauce on Mul Naengmyeon, so you have to ask to staff before you order if you don't like spicy one. 

  This restaurant is famous for using the hottest chili sauce for cold noodle. If you like to challenge for spicy foods, then here is good choice, but I recommend you should try Korean cold noodle first. because this texture is like cold rubber(According to my friend said), So If you can handle with it, then try it!

 Here, this is Bibim Naengmyeon (비빔냉면). I don't like Mul Naengmyeon (물냉면), So I ordered this. noodle is made by buckwheat, and many restaurant using that. This is pretty thick to mix, then you can pour some water is just fine. Also you can see the scissor on right side, so you can cut in half or quater as you wish. Because the noodle are quiet tough, you will cut it after try it. the garnish is cucumber, salted radish, slice beef(it is hidden between noodle and vegetables) and egg. It is very simple isn't? so it can't be as a meal, so it's like refection cuisine for me like instant noodle.

 

 

  In cold noodle restaurant, you can see a hot water tank nearby purifier. In Japan, it is for green tea for dessert, but in Korea, it has noodle hot water (or beef water. This is in Pyeongyang Naengmyeon restaurant.) some restaurant put some spice for taste, nomally it's very mild and hot! If you think spicy too much, then drinking this water or milk can helps you but do not drink water because it will be more painful. Also putting more sugar reduces hot as well.

  This shop is very busy everyday so I couldn't take picture inside so please forgive me but I can say there is nothing different other restaurant. I wish you could try this cold noodle one day.
